Lessons
Lessons consist of arriving 30 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time, and learning how to groom and tack up a horse with the help of an assistant. As time progresses, the assistant will be there to support the rider. The assistant will slowly introduce tack parts, anatomy, markings, and breeds to the student. Then, the student will be guided into the arena where the instructor will give a private 1/2 hour lesson. Once the lesson is over the assistant will guide the student back to the grooming area to un-tack the horse and groom. The student along with the assistant are to clean the bit, clean and organize the grooming supplies, and sweep the area, if needed.
Payment: On the 1st of the month, a credit/ debit card number will automatically be charged $175.00. Whether the student attends four or five times that month- it is a flat fee. If the student is attending every other week the fee is $90.00 per month. A $20 discount per family's monthly total will be deducted for siblings riding every week, and a $10 discount of family's monthly total payment for siblings riding every another week. Checks are not accepted! Cancellations: There are no make-ups from the student cancellations. There are a few days that the farm is closed for the lesson program. Dates will be given upon registration. If your lesson lands on that day your lesson is cancelled. If any emergency occurs, please call your Instructor to notify the cancellation. If an Instructor cancels there will be a make up day that they will set up. Cancellations due to weather are at the discretion of the Instructor. If the Instructor cancels for any reason a make up date will be offered. If you would like to exit the lesson program a letter of cancellation must be placed into the office mailbox two weeks prior to termination date. There are no refunds!
